Sound the Alarm is a coalition of pastors from across the State of Washington, representing diverse denominational backgrounds and worship traditions, dedicated to uniting the Church of Jesus Christ in Washington State in prayer, repentance and, as needed, united action. Sound the Alarm comprises a grassroots, pastor-to-pastor strategy for the mobilization of all Christian pastors and churches in the critical spiritual battle for righteousness in our land. The primary need of our state is a spiritually awakened Church, living out God's love and righteousness in daily life.

To this end the Executive Board of Sound the Alarm would like to humbly ask you to stand with us in a covenant relationship. Because of the spiritual urgency of the times, we ask you to prayerfully consider the following elements of the Sound the Alarm Pastors' Covenant:

1. Renew/begin a personal commitment to earnestly seek the Lord in protracted private prayer, repentance, and spiritual renewal to engage in the battle for the soul of our nation.
• Establish and/or maintain a daily time and place for your personal pursuit of God in worship, the Word, and prayer, asking Him to renew your "first love" relationship with Him (Revelation 2:4-5).
• If God's work of renewal is going to have an impact on the churches of our state, it has to first begin in us, the pastors of those churches (See A.W. Tozer, The Size of the Soul on the cost of personal revival).
2. Commit with us to calling your congregation to corporate and individual prayer for spiritual awakening in the churches of our state.
• Call for and calendar quarterly congregational prayer meetings to pray for spiritual awakening in your church and the churches of our state (See the website for prayer meeting resources and quarterly prayer foci).
• Historically, awakenings have always been preceded by a protracted ministry of prayer.
3. Join the Sound the Alarm network of pastors for periodic calls to prayer and united action for issues of spiritual urgency for the Church and our state by registering on the Pastor's Sign-Up page.
• Prayerfully consider periodic calls to action, uniting the Church of Jesus Christ across our state in events such as regional or state-wide prayer rallies, voter registration drives, and other opportunities for Christians to take a stand on issues of Biblical righteousness in the public arena.
4. Inform and invite pastoral colleagues to adopt the covenant and join the Sound the Alarm network of pastors uniting for spiritual awakening in the State of Washington.
